The morning scramble

Your 6 AM shouldn't feel like a crisis.

Every school has lived this. One teacher calls out, and suddenly you're the operator of a phone bank — trying to fill classrooms before the first bell. FillMyClass turns that hour into a non-event.

Before

The old way

  • 5:47 AM 3rd grade teacher out. Start the phone tree.
  • 6:02 AM “Sorry, I can’t today.” Four texts in a row.
  • 6:18 AM Still three classrooms uncovered.
  • 6:31 AM Are we combining classes again?
With FillMyClass

The new morning

  • 5:47 AM Request posted to 42 qualified subs.
  • 5:49 AM Ms. Rivera accepted
  • 6:00 AM Every classroom covered. Coffee’s still hot.
What it does

Everything a busy school needs,
nothing it doesn't.

Smart request management

Teachers post coverage requests in seconds, with all the details a sub needs: grade, subject, and notes.

Real-time notifications

Subs get instant alerts for jobs via push, email, or text — whatever they prefer.

Preferred subs first

Teachers can invite preferred subs first, then open to the full pool if no one accepts within a set window.

Multi-school support

Run a single school or a whole district. Role-based access keeps every view appropriate.

Live admin dashboard

A bird’s-eye view of today’s coverage: who’s out, who’s accepted, what’s still open.

Frictionless onboarding

Invite teachers and subs via a join code or email. Sign in with Google, Apple, or email.

A sub accepts

The first qualified sub to accept is confirmed. Everyone is notified and the job is locked in.

04
Automatic

Everyone is looped in

Confirmations go out, pre-job reminders are scheduled.

What devices does FillMyClass support?
FillMyClass is mobile-first with native apps on iOS and Android. Admins also get a full web dashboard (beta) for managing schools, rosters, and coverage at scale.
Does FillMyClass provide the substitutes?
No, and that’s the point. FillMyClass is built so you get to use your own trusted subs: the retired teachers, parents, former staff, and regulars your team already knows. We don’t send in strangers from a staffing pool. You keep the relationships and the culture fit; we give you the tools to reach your people fast.
How does “preferred subs” work?
When a teacher creates a request, they can list preferred substitutes. Those subs are notified first and get a head start to claim the job. If no preferred sub accepts within the window you set, the request opens to the full qualified pool automatically.
Can we run multiple schools in one account?
Yes. FillMyClass is built for districts and multi-school setups. Role-based access keeps every user — admins, teachers, subs — seeing only what they should.
How do subs get notified?
Subs choose their channels: push notifications, email, SMS (text message), or any combination. They control their own preferences.
How do we invite our teachers and substitutes?
You can invite people individually via email or share a school join code.
What does onboarding look like?
We’ll get your school or organization set up in FillMyClass. After that, you can immediately start adding users and requesting subs. You can be up and running the very same day. Reach out using the form below to get started!
What makes FillMyClass different from other solutions?
FillMyClass helps you quickly reach your own trusted substitute network — not a third-party pool. It’s designed to be extremely simple for teachers and substitutes to use, while giving administrators powerful tools to manage coverage, notifications, and staffing at scale.
